Wow. Fantastic dentist. Super knowledgeable, gentle technique, and genuinely interested in your health. Considerate and highly competent staff. She works with you to develop a long term dental plan that works for you. She should be your first and last stop when looking for a new dentist.
Thrive dental is a unique and incredible place. Their owner/founder cares so much about her patients and doing the best work and her integrity is impeccable. She is knowledgable, listens and LOVES what she does which makes it fun to go there. Run don't walk to Thrive Dental. The best!!!
My recent experience at Thrive Dental was truly unlike any experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. Although I’ve been fortunate to not yet have needed invasive dental procedures other than cleanings, let’s face it, not many people actually look forward to going to the dentist. Dr Jenny’s thoughtful practice of dentistry is trying to change that feeling, and it makes all the difference. The office is a beautiful and inviting space - professionally modern, without a dreaded clinical feel. Before getting into the exam chair, Dr Jenny first sat with me to talk about my specifics needs and previous experience of dental care to help identify what would make this visit a positive experience for me. She took great care and time to listen and discuss my needs for this visit and the future. She and her assistant then gave me a thorough exam and careful cleaning (while I was offered Bose headphones and watched Netflix on the ceiling TV!) I was able to relax during the cleaning while also trusting I was in careful, attentive hands. THIS is what trauma-informed medical care looks like: A provider who listens, responds to your feedback, takes their time, works at your pace, and honors your needs. Thank you Dr Jenny - I hope more providers will follow your model of care. And, I have to say, I actually am looking forward to my next visit!

As an anxious dental patient, I was reluctant to find a new office, but going into the city was unmanageable, and no one seemed to recommend any one particular dentist in the area. Seems it's quite the chore to go to the dentist for many people.
Dr. Jenny's approach removed all of that reluctance and anxiety for me. The waiting area feels like a luxe salon or spa, and everything from the plants to the chairs is calming and anything but clinical. I had been jealous of my child's pediatric dentist visits because they have all the latest gear and gadgets to put my kiddo at ease, and the office is gorgeous. This is the grown up version!
Dr. Jenny took the time to talk to me in a side room before my visit, about why I was there, and any concerns I might have before I was shown to my dental chair. There were some small things that made a huge difference: the heated pad on my shoulders while we took X-rays (right in the dental chair with an x-ray gun!), the warm sunlight from the big windows in the exam room, and how she and her dental assistant took the time to explain everything that they were doing, and how, and why. Not in a hurried way, but in a way that put me at ease.
My favorite part of the exam was when Dr. Jenny took photos of my mouth after completing the exam so that she could show me what she was talking about when it came to my teeth and gums on a digital screen - as a visual person I really really appreciated this.
By the end of my visit my anxiety had melted away, and while it may take a while to unpack the many years of dental fears I have leftover from my time fixing some serious dental problems in the past, I know that I will keep coming here because of the respectful and calm way all of the staff treated me.
